With the unity of our clubs, we are ready to show a statement of power!
For the Native Americans in the Pacific Northwest, the mountains in the Cascades possessed a power. Powerful forces were often said to live at the tops of the mountains. We are changing our team names and want to represent our pride of living in the wonderful Pacific Northwest. The names will be representing our area with the native names of the Cascades, starting with the tallest mountain as our top team - Tahoma, Mt. Rainier.New Team Names:
- Tahoma (Mt. Rainier)
- Pahtoe (Mt. Adams)
- Kulshan (Mt. Baker)
- DaKobed (Glacier Peak)
- Loowit (Mt. St. Helens)
- Shuksan (Mt. Shuksan)
- Sunado (Mt. Olympus)
- Tupshin (Tupshin Peak)
After tryouts, each team will be assessed to see the highest skill level the team will compete.
Example, there may be two closely skilled teams in an age division nationally, they will both be made a travel team.
